Another Best of Breed Win! Thank you to judge Mr. Norman Patton for the honor.
Lis became an AKC show champion November 2008 with limited showing. Her first show weekend last spring she won first points and the judge considered her for Best of Breed from puppy class over a top ranked special.
She finished her Championship in style by going Best of Breed over very nice competition (including other finished Ch).
I moved her up for the next day and she won again! We have had many nice compliments about Lis from judges, exhibitors and other handlers. I may bring her out to the show ring from time to time because she is very beautiful, excellent movement and GREAT attitude, but will explore other avenues of competition with her like obedience titles and tracking.

2008: "The Return Of Wendy"
Wendy returned and brought little Solo with her! We had a blast - lots of time riding the horses, boating, playing with dogs, farm stuff, consuming Leinies.....
A sad day however when I had to take her and Solo back to O'Hare Airport and say goodbye again. Time does fly when you are having fun.
We are hopeful 'Wendy Comes to Wisconsin' will be an annual event!

Wendy and Lis came to America. It has not been the same since!
I appreciate Lis’ beauty and personality every day and look forward to the time when Wendy can jump the pond and visit again.
Crystal, Juni and Lis LOVE to play together. They race around and around and then Lis will jump on a couch and wait for just the right moment to spring into the blur going around the coffee table again. When outside she is my coated field trial crested, always ranging out and using her nose. This is no little foo-foo dog!
She has a big huge ‘Golden Retriever’ personality and never lets any of us forget it. That happy manner and her beautiful look ought to serve her well in the show ring but I anticipate she is capable of so much more than just a USA Ch.
What a fun week when Wendy was here, but it went way too fast. I laugh when I think about Wendy telling the crew at the counter of the Wendy’s nearest the airport “I have just arrived from the Nederlands and it has been four years since I have had a Frosty. I would like one very much right now thank you”. They just kinda stood there and stared at her until an older gentleman responded “Are you really from The Netherlands”? “YES”! was the reply and they burst into action as they finally understood that four years of Frosty deprivation had created an impatient Dutch woman:)
